About the role
Scopely is looking for a Lead DevOps / SRE to join our new unannounced project in either Ireland, Spain, Portugal or the UK on a hybrid/remote basis. - Lead and run the DevOps team
- Propose and implement improvements to our development processes, workflows and tools, to increase efficiency, quality and throughput
- With the Engineering Leads, lead the development cycle and identify the engineering tasks and processes needed to complete the roadmap.
- Ensure each Lead Engineer defines clear objectives to their team members and direct reports.
- Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of our service infrastructure. This role involves monitoring, incident response, and automation to maintain high system uptime and performance
- Monitor and maintain the reliability and performance of services infrastructure
- Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
- Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure system health
- Conduct performance testing and tuning to optimize system performance
- Extensive experience in leadership roles within the games industry or equivalent experience.
- Highly experienced in site reliability engineering or related field
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash)
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with development and operations teams
