Our work depends on Pharmaceutical Consultant joining our team to support the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services through policy research and analysis to provide affordable, compliant, and safe prescription drugs. The position will lead a multi-disciplinary team focused on support provisions of the Inflation Reduction Act including Drug Price Negotiations and Inflation Rebates.

HOW A PHARMACIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Delivers comprehensive pharmaceutical services to support the mission of CMS to provide affordable, safe and compliant healthcare services to the Medicare and Medicaid populations
• Work with a team dedicated to the mission of using data insights to identify outliers or trends to improve healthcare delivery
• Provide expertise to team and customer based upon findings and complex analyses.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Doctorate of Pharmacy
• 5+ years of related experience conducting policy research of Medicare and Medicaid guidelines
• Excellent quantitative analysis skills including analyzing data for trends and outliers
• Ability to work independently and with a team to solve complex problems; strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance administration of prescription drug coverage

The likely salary range for this position is $120,700 - $163,300. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
