As the Data Catalog and Lineage Senior Manager, you will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of data cataloging and lineage initiatives within the organization. You will manage the organization’s data catalog and work cross-functionally with other Technology functions to support data governance and decision-making processes. What you will do:
- Hire, coach, and mentor individuals; build a strong cross-functional organization.
- Bring innovative ideas to the table that enhance the customer and colleague experience.
- Grow a healthy, collaborative engineering culture aligned with company values.
- Aids Data Governance leadership in shaping strategy, prioritization, and delivery.
- Supports Data Governance leadership in financial and talent-related exercises for strategic decision-making.
- Defines and refines vision and roadmap for the central data catalog, based on evolving Technology and Business needs, technology, and financial constraints.
- Oversees engagement with Technology stakeholders to gather feedback and needs, and provides recommendations for data catalog accuracy and relevancy.
- Develops guidance and standards for Data Catalog and Data Quality resources to catalog and store new data assets across the enterprise.
- Upholds data catalog, access, and related processes to comply with Enterprise Architecture, Data Architecture, and Data Governance frameworks, standards, and tooling.
- Reviews and influences procedures and workflows to support metadata management, including metadata standards in alignment with Business requirements.
- Manages implementation of data lineage to enable consistent documentation of source to target data mapping and transformation.
- Guides opportunities to update data models in alignment with Data Architecture function.
- Manages processes and execution of metadata artifacts maintenance across the organization
Who you are:
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Data Management within a large enterprise environment and at least 1 year of people leadership experience.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information, issues, and solutions to senior business stakeholders in an easily understood format.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Gets energized by fast-paced environments and capable of leading multiple projects - can identify primary and secondary objectives, prioritize time, and communicate timelines to team members.
- Enjoys taking product/project ownership and being accountable for results.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs.
