The Quality Manager will ensure compliance to all applicable food safety and product quality laws as well as adherence to Company Product and Packing Standards (out of scope: primary packaging food labelling & claims). They will become a part of the factory development team working cross functionally with all departments in order to embed the right the first time culture and maintain food safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Sharing HACCP responsibility with Raw Materials Manager
• Contributing to design high quality organisation within the factory
• Being Subject Mater Expert for specific tools within the Quality Assurance (QA) function
• Planning and implements corrective and preventive action as a result of complaints, internal inconsistencies, internal and external audits
• Identifying QA training/coaching needs and delivers appropriate solutions
• Packaging suppliers and co-packers approval and monitoring, 
• Developing, preparing, maintaining, and approving  packaging specifications
• Conducting investigations and reports consumer complaints and Business to Business
• Development of cooperation and building relations with direct (markets) and internal  (operations, Customer Service, logistic) customers of Swarzedz factory
• Confirming of the highest standards of food safety in third-party audits performed in Swarzedz
• Quality Check on data setup to enable new product launches as well as changes in existing products

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• At least 5-8 years of production / operational / quality experience within FMCG industry.
• Degree qualified in food science or other similar disciplines
• Membership of a professional quality management body would be desirable.
• Worked within an international business is preferred
• Proficiency in English language
• GS1 standard & system thinking (IT and quality)
• Ability to chair meetings                     
• Positive influencing ability at all levels of the business
• Negotiation skills                       
• Project Management and planning skills
