About the role

Sr. People Operations Business Partner

As strategic People Ops Business partners at Storable, we pride ourselves in being business consultants first and ‘traditional HR’ second. We leverage our communication skills, business acumen, and emotional intelligence to coach and guide our leaders to keep the business tracking toward our goals and true to our Core Values. We develop processes, tools, and systems that help managers become better coaches, mentors, and leaders - and we center everything we do on the employee experience. All that being said, we need your help and would love to have you consider being a part of our team!

We are looking for a self-motivated person who craves a challenge and is energized to roll up their sleeves and help Storable achieve its goals. As a Sr. People Operations Business Partner, you will be responsible for aligning HR strategies with business goals, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture, and supporting the growth and development of our US-based teams. You’ll partner with the Storable executives for your specific function/department and own the end-to-end POps responsibilities for that function.

What you will do every day:

  • Collaborate with business leaders to develop and implement talent strategies, initiatives, and solutions.
  • Deliver insightful recommendations and viewpoints, actively challenging the status quo to foster organizational effectiveness and employee experience.
  • Lead, implement and help drive adoption of company-wide programs and initiatives.
  • Performance Development: Manage programs for your enterprise function including Semi-annual Development Reviews, Career Pathing, Promotions, Succession Planning, Annual Compensation Cycle, and employee/leadership development.
  • Performance Management: Assist in Performance Improvement Plans, Discipline, documentation, and offboarding as needed.
  • Employee Relations: Assist in conducting investigations, confidential reviews, effectively manage conflict and handle sensitive feedback.
  • Change Management: Work closely with leadership to drive the adoption of new changes and design and implement effective change management strategies and plans that minimize employee resistance and maximize employee engagement.
  • Acquisitions and Integrations: Partner with key stakeholders for mergers and acquisitions, ensuring a smooth transition of new employees and processes into our organization, addressing concerns, and fostering a positive integration experience. Facilitate the alignment of organizational structures, job roles, compensation and reporting relationships post-acquisition.
  • Offboarding: Conduct exit interviews as needed for local site(s) and report results to business leaders, identifying attrition trends and offering potential opportunities for resolution.
  • Leave management: Assist with leave requests and liaise between employees and Shared Services to ensure leaves are managed properly; lead the interactive process for ADA requests.
  • Participate as a collaborative partner with the People Operations Department in sustaining and strengthening our amazing distributed culture within your function/organization.
  • Stay updated on HR best practices and trends to continually improve our strategies and processes.

What you need to bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (or commensurate experience).
  • Minimum of 7 years of human resources experience with a demonstrated generalist background, preferably some experience at a team or project lead level.
  • 5+ years of experience working as an HR partner in a technology company.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a remote-first environment.
  • Experience with coaching high-performance teams through organizational design, reorganizations, and reductions in force.
  • Experience in M&A or in organizations with heavy M&A volume.
  • Quick learner - you know how to pick up on new topics and areas of expertise quickly and can efficiently demonstrate competency in a short period of time.
  • Extremely organized, with an eye for detail and quality-oriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters appropriately.
  • Strong business acumen to be able to comprehend business needs and structure. To be effective, you need to be interested in how we run the business. An effective business partner is equal parts HR and management consultant.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence people at all levels of our business.
  • A team-first demeanor: you are a patient, self-aware, candid, communicative team player who has outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Strong technical proficiency with Google Applications.
