DIRECTOR OF HOTEL, SALES AND REVENUE MANAGEMENT-030144

Position Overview:

Responsible for the overall efficient management of:  Front Desk, Housekeeping, Bell Services, Guest Services, Revenue Management and Sales while maximizing  revenue, controlling expenses and ensuring all services and productivity standards are consistently met to provide an exceptional guest experience; All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Mount Airy Casino Resort policies and procedures, Internal Control standards and Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board regulations.

Essential Job Functions:

• Promotes positive guest, employee and public relations at all times
• Responsible for the quality, consistency and presentation of all products and services delivered to guests
• Plans, directs, implements and oversees the activities of Hotel Operations to include Housekeeping, Valet, Bellmen, Guest Services, Convention Sales and Revenue Management.
• Maintains a current knowledge of rooms inventory and coordinates and communicates with Guest Services and Player Development to achieve maximum yield on room occupancy and average daily rates.  Stays abreast of room/hotel status while off duty.
• Ensures timely maintenance and supply for all departmental supplies and equipment.
• Reviews system reports to ensure adherence to controls, standards and quality.
• Develops implements and enforces departmental policies, procedures and standards, including revenue controls where appropriate.  Sets department goals, objectives and guidelines.
• Develops and implements training programs to encompass general information, system/PC software use, policies and procedures and service standards.
• Coordinates efforts and communicates information with all related departments to ensure effective guest service and internal service.
• Prepares budgets and detailed financial reports for areas of responsibility.
• Handles payroll processes and departmental expenses, adhering to established budgets.
• Evaluates and addresses employee job performance, providing praise, motivation and counseling appropriately.
• Maximizes the Sales process to achieve occupancy, catering revenue and the average daily rate of the hotel.
• Creates awareness of casino hotel in civic, social and the business community events.
• Responsible for increasing corporate client base through consistent solicitations while establishing trust and rapport with clients to generate and boost revenues for the hotel.
• Promotes positive guest, employee and public relations at all times.
• Provides leadership to the day-to-day operations of the sales and convention services departments, while maintain focus on the company’s strategic goals.
• Establishes performance goals for the sales department and monitors performance on a continual basis.
• Maximizes catering sales via group and social markets.
• Establishes relationships with third party vendors such as Helms Briscoe, C-vent, American Express and the PMVB.
• Seeks out and targets new customers and new sales opportunities, initiates action plan to approach and secure new business for the Company. 
• Responsible for managing and controlling the sales budget.
• Effectively executes and manages every element of the sales process of each sales member and builds a top-notch direct sales team.
• Attracts, retains, trains, and motivates a diverse sales force and Convention Services team.
• Responsible for prospecting and growing of the account list, handles incoming leads and closes sales.
