Job Description: Inbound Receiving Clerk
Position Overview:
The Inbound Receiving Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of inventory processing. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in financial processing to facilitate smooth operations within the logistics department.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Transactions:
- Verify and process Advanced Shipping Notifications (ASNs).
- Confirm invoices, purchase orders (POs), Bills of Lading (BOLs), and packing slips, accurately entering pertinent information including containers and Airway BOLs.
- Reconcile Accounts:
- Reconcile purchase orders and invoices to ensure accurate account balances.
- Maintain meticulous records for future reference and audits.
- Ensure Accuracy:
- Validate financial data such as price, quantity, item details, and shipping method to avoid discrepancies.
- Organizational Skills:
- Manage multiple tasks, emails, and deadlines efficiently to ensure seamless operations.
- Assist in end-of-month closing activities, ensuring timely completion of all responsibilities.
- Financial Reporting:
- Process, record, and organize financial information, including invoices, POs, and balance sheets.
- Compile data for financial reports and assist with audits, ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations, including Free Trade Zone (FTZ) required documentation.
- Communication:
- Effectively correspond with internal teams and external partners to gather and relay necessary information.
- Foster a collaborative environment to enhance operational efficiency.
Required Qualities
- Attention to Detail:
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy in all tasks to prevent inconsistencies.
- Attendance:
- Exhibit a strong commitment to reliability to support teamwork and coordination.
- Proficiency in Software:
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and fundamental accounting principles.
- Knowledge of JDE (JD Edwards) and AS400 systems is preferred.
- Time Management:
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks and complete assignments on schedule.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in accounting or relevant fields is a plus.
- Previous experience in receiving, accounting, or finance roles is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
