ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and maintain Workday Prism data pipelines, ensuring accurate and efficient integration of internal and external data sources.
- Partner with HR, Finance, and Operations to build custom Workday reports, dashboards, and analytics that support decision-making.
- Leverage Workday Extend to create scalable applications that extend Workday functionality.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into data models, reports, and visualization solutions within Workday and external BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries to support Workday reporting, Prism transformations, and cross-platform integrations.
- Support Workday’s semi-annual major release cycles, including:
- Reviewing release notes,
- Conducting impact analysis,
- Participating in testing, validation, and adoption of new functionality.
- Implement data governance, security, and compliance best practices within Workday Prism and reporting solutions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate ETL processes, data integrity, and ongoing system performance.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting Workday reports, dashboards, and data pipelines.
- Promotes the image and reputation of the System by exhibiting servant leadership and providing direct and open lines of communication.
- Contributes to the work of committees, workgroups, project management, and other collaborative efforts of the System.
- Performs other duties as necessary to ensure the success of the System.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2+ years’ experience in SQL development, database design, and data engineering.
- Proven experience with ETL processes, data warehousing, and BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, Snowflake) and data pipelines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver scalable, data-driven solutions.
- (Preferred) Experience with Workday Prism Analytics, Workday Extend, or Workday report writing.
- (Preferred) Exposure to HRIS or financial systems and experience supporting enterprise application upgrades or releases.
