Join a collaborative pediatric rehabilitation team dedicated exclusively to helping children achieve their highest level of communication, feeding, swallowing, and cognitive function. This outpatient role serves a diverse pediatric population with conditions including autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, acquired brain injuries, feeding and swallowing disorders, and speech/articulation impairments. You'll work alongside experienced occupational therapists, physical therapists, rehabilitation technicians, and fellow speech-language pathologists in a supportive, family-centered environment.
In this role, you'll evaluate and treat children with speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive-communication needs while developing individualized treatment plans that promote meaningful functional outcomes. You'll monitor patient progress, adapt interventions based on clinical response, and partner closely with families and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure coordinated, high-quality care. Success in this position is driven by strong clinical judgment, effective communication, teamwork, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient outcomes while meeting established quality, productivity, and operational performance goals.
A caregiver in this position works Mon-Fri, start times between 8:00am and 10:00am| occasional weekends and holidays.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Perform diagnostic speech pathology test procedures and evaluate communication and swallowing function of patients.
Interpret and reports on test results to facilitate medical diagnosis.
Provide counseling and education about communication and diagnosis to patients and their families.
Determine therapeutic plan, including need for therapy, frequency of treatment, focus for intervention, prognosis and duration of therapy.
Select assistive speech devices to improve patient communication.
Perform re-evaluation to determine progress after therapy.
Provide observations about hearing and other behavior to help determine the need for other services.
Maintain records of all services.
Communicate results and recommendations for improving communicative function to referral sources and outside agencies such schools and employers.
Maintain speech pathology equipment and materials.
