Job Description

AECOM’s Baltimore Transportation team is looking for an individual with proven transportation planning and project development expertise to join a collaborative team that balances our client-responsiveness, sound technical analysis, creativity, and digital technology to find the right transportation solutions for this and future generations.

Experience with transportation planning as well as capital programming and the federal, state and local project development processes is required to support our portfolio of infrastructure projects. This experience should include transit, highway, and/or aviation planning for clients in Maryland.

The overall responsibilities include project and client management, business development, and technical direction for our state and local clients. Candidate will have a leadership role in business development strategy including industry and client outreach and leading responses to agency Requests for Proposals (RFPs). The Manager will be supported by and work with AECOM’s global transportation planning and engineering resources and our digital AECOM toolkit.

This position’s responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

• Develop and support growth and client-specific business development strategies.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance.
• Mentor and build capacity within transportation planning staff.
• Coordinate with AECOM’s multidisciplinary planning and engineering practices.
• Manage AECOM and subconsultant resources.
• Support new business development activities including industry events and client proposals.
• Project management role including scope/schedule/budget adherence for project assignments.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• BA/BS in Transportation Planning, Engineering, Business, or another related field plus eight years or more of demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications:

•  20 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills, good time management skills, and an attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
• Professional planning or engineering license in MD, DC, and/or VA - desirable but not required.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $106,000.00 to 197,000.00
