Sustainability & Plant Engineering Category Buyer

We are seeking for a proactive and knowledgeable Sustainability Buyer to lead and support procurement initiatives that align with our environmental and social responsibility goals. This role is responsible for sourcing sustainable materials and services and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive sustainable practices across the supply chain.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic sourcing, sustainability standards, and supplier engagement. They will play a key role in reducing the environmental impact of our operations while ensuring cost-effectiveness, compliance, and innovation in procurement strategies.

What you’ll do:

• Develop category strategies, secure customer alignment, and execution.
• Develop strong relationships with internal Business partners.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives to align with company goals.
• Support of Global Category Strategies, Management, and key initiatives
• Conduct competitive bids.
• Negotiate and create contracts that reflects the negotiation. 

What is required:

• BS or BA in Purchasing, SCM, Engineering or another business-related field
• 6+ years of related experience
• Good working knowledge of ERP purchasing systems, PPT, Word, Excel (pivot tables)
• Negotiations and standard purchasing practices
• Data analysis
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrates Business Acumen
• Collaboration with different areas
