Position Summary:
Driving member behavior change is a critical strategy in Aetna's mission to offer our members affordable health benefits coverage and access to quality care. This position is responsible for supporting behavior change campaigns that improve member health outcomes and lower total cost of care.
Aetna is seeking a Marketing Operations Associate to support Enhanced Messaging Experiences for our customers. In providing key operations support to your team, you’ll be involved in operational and project management workstreams focused on scaling new messaging technologies, such as RCS Business Messaging (RBM) and Apple Business Messaging. You’ll also work on campaigns and initiatives that help increase our messaging permission rates and deliver enterprise impact by improving reach rates and allowing us to have important health-related conversations with our members. You’ll be part of a team that includes a product owner, flow architects, and data science all working towards creating unique messaging experiences that help our members save on care, schedule visits, navigate their benefits, and more.
Fundamental Components:
- Enhance existing member experiences by adding RBM to all ongoing SMS campaigns to Aetna members
- Manage trafficking of RBM campaigns within the Aetna ecosystem – legal & compliance, Medicare review functions, business intake processes, field communications, and other submissions
- Conduct ongoing monitoring for active campaigns, maintaining deliverability reports and escalating to leadership as needed
- Execute Quality Assurance / User Acceptance Testing for each campaign launch, in partnership with the Enhanced Messaging Experience team
- Support general project management and co-develop key artifacts and processes internally to ensure the workstream is a “well-oiled machine”
- Synthesize learnings from our "test & learn" marketing experiments on a regular basis, to establish best practices that shape future messaging deployments
- Manage messaging workstream finances and other reporting/dashboards
- Coordinate reviews and help build relationships with Apple, Google, Infobip and the major telecom carriers
- Document best practices and process to support Enhanced Messaging adoption across the department
- Provide support for trainings and/or informational sessions to upskill the department on RBM and ABM campaign execution
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years in a marketing operations role in a large corporation (ideally working with some combination of email and SMS)
- May be appropriate with 2+ years of general “project management” experience (with desire to stretch into a marketing environment), OR 2+ years of general marketing strategy/operations experience, OR 1-2 years of pre-MBA consulting experience
- Some professional experience with PowerPoint (building deliverables / communication materials) and Excel (basic manipulation, pivots, reporting, etc)
- Strong attention to detail is absolutely critical – in order to ensure “six sigma” levels of error-free campaign delivery
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree or coursework in marketing is preferred, but not required
- Experience working in an Agile methodology and/or rapid test and learn environment (either directly with marketing campaigns or in a product development environment) is preferred, but not required
- Experience for healthcare industry is preferred, but not required – but a passion for healthcare is necessary!
EDUCATION
- The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

The typical pay range for this role is:
$43,888.00 - $102,081.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including
