Job Summary

You’ll own the Shopify architecture for a portfolio of 15 ecommerce sites, each representing a global sports brand (e.g., Real Madrid, Juventus). These storefronts need to be independently branded while being centrally managed via Shopify Plus. You will work closely with the founder and core leadership to ensure a scalable, replicable site model is in place.

This is a hands-on role. You’ll be expected to execute, test, and optimize the Shopify architecture yourself while preparing the foundation for a larger team that will eventually scale under your leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure 15 branded Shopify storefronts

• Explore Shopify Plus capabilities and third-party tools for multi-store management

• Customize and clone templates with unique branding per site

• Optimize for speed, SEO, UX, and mobile responsiveness

• Advise on scaling architecture and backend tools (e.g., Portless for logistics)

Qualifications and Job Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Shopify/Shopify Plus and multi-store architecture

• Deep understanding of theme customization and storefront cloning

• Experience working independently in startup environments

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Management potential and interest in growing a future technical team

• Knowledge of headless commerce or modular ecommerce architectures a plus

Nice to have

• Experience implementing headless commerce (Shopify + Next.js, Hydrogen, or similar).

• Familiarity with Shopify Plus APIs, GraphQL, and custom app development.

• Experience integrating CDPs, CRMs, or ERPs with Shopify (e.g., Salesforce, Klaviyo, HubSpot).

• Strong understanding of multi-currency, multi-region, and tax compliance in e-commerce.

• Background in building CI/CD pipelines for Shopify theme deployment and version control.

• Exposure to serverless architecture, edge functions, or JAMstack environments.

• Experience with global e-commerce SEO and technical SEO optimizations.

• Past work scaling multi-store Shopify ecosystems with centralized management.

• Knowledge of Shopify Hydrogen / Remix or composable commerce approaches.

• Previous collaboration with growth and performance marketing teams on conversion optimization.
