Description

JOB SUMMARY: 

To assist in the design, coordination, execution, and analysis of experimental trials in the development of new and improved products, and to provide technical support to other departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONISIBILITIES: 

  • Assist in designing and carrying experimental trials on tools for Product and Process Development.
  • Carry out and coordinate processing and analysis of samples, analysis of data, and statistical verification of experimental runs.
  • Manage multiple developmental projects, working with the sales, production, and quality teams to ensure all projects metrics are documented and achieved.
  • Provide support to other departments as needed.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interact with and foster good working relationships with equipment vendors, technical personnel, supporting departments, and third parties.
  • Enhance knowledge base through seminars, workshops, and other industry-oriented technical offerings.
  • Follow and support all company policies, including safe personal working practices and promotion of safety throughout company.
  • Help achieve company Quality Policy goals and support the maintenance of the ISO process while performing duties.
  • Support Production and Sales/Marketing, perform other duties as assigned.

MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (QMS/EMS) RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate, or assist, in identifying how the work that you do that affects the quality or impacts the environmental aspects of the products or services we provide to customer(s).
  • Improve your work processes.
  • Write procedures or work instructions that describe your work.
  • Provide input and verify that documented procedures are adequate and accurate.
  • Understand and use your work/job instructions.
  • Understand our quality and environmental policies and how they apply to you.
  • Keep records and data.
  • Participate in internal audits.
  • Participate in ongoing process improvement.
  • Participate in external registration and surveillance audits.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or related field
  • Background in statistical analysis, Design of Experiment principles, and reporting on experimental data.
  • Familiar with research methodology and utilizing investigative resources, including database searching.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel.  Minitab experience is a bonus.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents (standards, rules, instructions, manuals).
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
