The Work You Will Do:
Senor Materials Technician – Drill Crew
This position will perform field sampling and testing of materials used in roadway and bridge construction.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
Perform field and/or laboratory testing in the field in accordance with the applicable Florida Sampling and Testing Methods (FSTM), American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) or American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) test method. Report results precisely in the appropriate database. Keep all testing equipment calibrated and in good working order. Obtain and maintain all qualifications necessary to perform the test in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) procedures. Take timely action to report any errors in the data.
Assist with Independent Assurance evaluations in the field as described in Department procedures and/or the Federal Aid Policy Guide. Perform these evaluations in an objective and professional manner.
Provide materials related technical support to customers as requested. Provide support in time to meet the customers’ needs.
The Successful Candidate will have the following required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- using engineering tools, equipment and/or instruments
