Job Description
In this role, you will be a critical member of the legal team, helping build the legal infrastructure for this exciting company as it grows and scales. You will interface with business partners across the organization and help elevate the legal team’s strategic partnership with the business, playing an important role in bringing the Vuori brand to life and supporting its retail expansion. In this position, you will provide support for a broad range of real estate matters, including representing Vuori in all aspects of real estate transactions, identifying and advising on issues, and formulating legal strategies to achieve Vuori’s objectives.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Partnering with the General Counsel &; Corporate Secretary and Retail team on Vuori’s Real Estate legal infrastructure
- Draft and negotiate leases and other related documentation
- Provide counsel to, and strategically collaborate with, business partners regarding real estate strategy, issues, lease interpretation and enforcement, and other related legal advice
- Advocate Vuori’s position on essential lease, operating, and corporate issues in leases, subordination /non-disturbance agreements, estoppels, license agreements, amendments and other related contracts
- Manage real estate related litigation and provide supervision for outside counsel, as needed
- Manage real estate-related budget and resourcing strategies
- Managing the successful and efficient delivery of services by outside counsel
- Addressing questions and issues that arise from various internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting the efforts to establish and evolve the legal function as Vuori grows and scales
- Manage other legal work for the company as needed to help support the company’s business needs and objectives, providing strong legal advice and guidance
Qualifications
- J.D. and member of the bar in good standing in at least one US jurisdiction
- 10+ years of prior real estate transactional experience, preferably with a combination of law firm and in-house, or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
- Experience in a similar role and/or with identified key responsibilities preferred
- Must have excellent contract drafting and negotiating skills and general business acumen

- Experience working with public entities preferred, not required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Occasional travel may be required
