Job description:

  •  The Quality Control and Analytical Services Department manages the testing activities for OAPI/OPDC’s commercial, clinical, and MSRD development products. We are seeking a detail-oriented intern who can assist with the daily activities and actively contribute to department projects focused on process improvements.   

  • Review analytical data from the contract laboratories for completeness and adherence to Otsuka requirements under close direction of a project manager.   

  • Collaborate with QC Project Managers and other Otsuka team members to inventory vendor Confidentiality and Disclosure Agreements (CDAs) and Master Service Agreements (MSAs) utilized by OPDC QC.   

  • Compile contract laboratory Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) data. Analyze for trends and identify opportunities for improvement.   

  • Project Initiative: Analysis of business KPIs to optimize Contract Laboratory utilization.  

  • Perform a thorough analysis of the business metrics collected for contract laboratories and identify the strengths of each vendor. Assess the metrics collected and identify opportunities for improvement with respect to KPI attribute reporting. 

  

Qualifications 

Minimum: 

  • By Fall 2025 candidate must be considered a/n [Junior level/3rd Year] (e.g. undergraduate junior or above; master’s student; undergraduate senior or master’s student) 

  • Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy Actively enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship.

  • Can commit to full duration of internship program.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Relevant coursework or experience 

  • Strong technical skills (e.g., software proficiency, data analysis, excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Experience with MS Office, especially MS Excel. Experience with Monday.com is beneficial but not a requirement.  

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills  

  • Good organization skills
