The Work You Will Do:

The Environmental Specialist II performs professional work for the Petroleum Restoration Program (PRP) under the direction of the Environmental Administrator.  The ideal candidate will possess the knowledge and skills to actively monitor, and support assigned contracted local programs.

Pay: Annual Salary: $46,350.00 - $47,380.08(Commensurate with experience)

 

Your Specific Responsibilities:

  • This is an intermediate environmental position responsible for monitoring and supporting state and county governments (local programs) contracted to perform sites management for cleanup of petroleum contaminated sites. Reviews assigned local program’s contract work product for technical adequacy and conformance with Chapter 62-780, F.A.C. and applicable Department guidance and procedures.  Serves as the Department liaison with assigned local programs contract offices by providing ongoing guidance, clarification, updates and training regarding the Petroleum Restoration Program.
