This Individual will be leading a talented Engineering team, applying your expertise to create and deliver outstanding features to scale our Issuers and partners. The successful candidate will provide technology leadership on strategic projects to create solutions for difficult problems and implement those solutions with the highest quality. We’re looking for a seasoned individual to drive and guide digital and mobile projects aligned to business strategy. You and your team will be at the forefront of strategic breakthrough technologies and complex  systems. You will work closely with product teams, partner with cross functional teams and cross- leverage engineering talent.</p><p>Reporting to the VP, Engineering, the Senior Director will be accountable for engineering functions of the Mobile Enablement Platform and Digital Enablement Services, and will be responsible for Development, Test, Delivery and Maintenance of high-throughput systems. You will work with teams in other locations for developing and executing projects and programs within a shared strategic vision for building software that enables mobile, web and microservice solutions and integrations.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><p>Be accountable for implementing highly scalable, low-latency, high-throughput systems</p></li><li><p>Develop and nurture the Engineering team by motivating and mentoring staff, hire critical talent.</p></li><li><p>Create an outstanding engineering culture of creativity and innovation embodying whatever it takes attitude with ownership and pride in work.</p></li><li><p>Lead and provide mentoring, coaching and guidance to talented technologists with a wide spectrum of specialization from native mobile development to web and Java . Develop strategic, mature, whole-function managers and technology leads.</p></li><li><p>Work collaboratively across team boundaries to share common infrastructure and functional capabilities. Drive productivity through engineering fundamentals, framework and best practices.</p></li><li><p>Consult on a regular basis with leadership to align expectations and deliverables. Be aggressive and leverage resources to the fullest to work on multiple parallel initiatives and solutions.</p></li><li><p>Extensive cross-organization collaboration playing a crucial role in interfacing with various technology teams and stakeholders to identify requirements, prioritize, and drive execution using agile methodologies. Provide feedback to core product teams to influence roadmap and strategy.</p></li><li><p>Lead multiple projects simultaneously, resolve scheduling &amp; other conflicts, to meet all deadlines</p></li><li><p>Achieve Operational/Engineering Excellence: security, availability, stability and efficiency</p></li></ul><p><em>This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.</em></p><h3>Qualifications</h3><p><u>Basic Qualifications</u><br/> • 12+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 15+ years of relevant work experience<br/> <br/> <u>Preferred Qualifications</u><br/> • 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience<br/> • Prior experience must include leadership for mission-critical system applications supporting high transaction systems.<br/> • Must have demonstrated experience in building software preferably in domains that require high through-put and low-latency.<br/> • Must be high impact leader with a technology background and the ability to engage in cross functional priorities.<br/> • Team player and pass
