Service Technician - Industrial

The role of Automatic & Industrial Door Technician will mainly involve Preventative Maintenance, Breakdown repairs, and some major works to Industrial Door Systems which includes gate, and roller shutter products. You will also be required to provide support to other dormakaba product in the form of Automatic Doors, and Manual swing doors.

 

Work is mainly in the ACT area; however, some regional work may be required from time to time.

 

Experience in this industry is desirable, however we can offer training and support to candidates with transferable skills. This may include experience in trades such as auto electrical, electrician, fabrication, maintenance fitter or, a mechanic.

 

We offer a 24/7 service to our customers, and you must be available to be on our after-hours roster on a rotational basis.

 

A fully maintained and stocked vehicle, mobile phone, iPad and uniforms are supplied to assist you in undertaking your new role.

• Current Drivers Licence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Mechanical knowledge.
• Product knowledge and diagnostic capabilities.
• Knowledge of electrical safety principles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Other desirable qualifications which will enhance your application, include:

• Baseline Clearance
• Industry White Card
• EWP / Boom Operator Licence Working at heights training.
• Disconnect / Reconnect restricted electrical licence (S permit).
