General Position Description: The Customer Service Technician (CST) is the inside communication link between OPW and its customers. The CST assists customers, both on the phone and through written correspondence, with new orders, ship dates and with any requests, complaints, or questions. In addition, the CST is courteous, maintains neat, timely and orderly paperwork and assists the Fibrelite C&I sales team with questions and problems. The goal of the CST is to make our customer’s interactions with OPW effective and pleasant while ensuring that OPW’s existing terms and conditions are clearly understood.
Responsibilities:
Day-to-day Customer Service activities include:
- Providing quality customer support by managing incoming customer calls and emails in an effective and courteous manner
- Assisting customers, both on the phone and through written correspondence, with new orders, ship dates and with any requests, complaints, or questions. Provide the necessary follow-up to ensure that all customer inquiries, questions, and complaints are resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Ensuring the proper creation and timely handling of all Customer Service paperwork such as sales orders, return goods authorizations, credit/debit memo requests, etc.
- Ensuring that all customer service-related paperwork is maintained in neat, accurate and easily accessible files.
- Entering new purchaser orders in the Oracle system
- Working with engineering to ensure that new part #s are produced in a timely fashion.
- Providing inside sales support such as identifying order ship dates, providing tracking numbers for shipments, and checking stock counts within Oracle and in physical inventory
- Interfacing with Fibrelite C&I production and shipping managers to ensure that orders are being produced on-time to meet the requested order ship dates.
- Maintaining a professional and calm demeanor at all times
- Resolving product and/or service complaints by understanding and clarifying the customer's complaint, helping the customer to determine the cause the problem, selecting the best solution to resolve the issue and following up to ensure effective resolution.
- Assist new customers with OPW’s “New Customer” setup procedures and with any credit card orders.
Experience:
- College degree desired, but not required.
- Minimum 2-5 years job related experience desired, but not required.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Pay Range: $46,154.00 - $60,941.00 Annually
