Job Summary:
The Production Specialist will be working with Project Managers, Directors, and direct clients to provide full-service show design and implementation from start to finish. This position will be actively designing the events, drafting the proposals, consulting with clients, and executing setup, operation, and proper strike of events as assigned by supervisor.
Essential Functions:
- Directs small to medium size show audio visual set up according to customer specification and clearly established expectations.
- Determine physical layout and technical capabilities of meeting locations to determine service and equipment needs.
- Responsible for directing and communicating the technical specifications of a show/event to client, location management and internal AV staff.
- Manage communication efforts with show venue staff.
- Assess equipment needs, service requirements and cost parameters of show sites and events.
- Act as technical liaison to clients, manage and nurture relationship.
- Learn area pricing structure to meet client’s needs in additions and show upgrades.
- Lead and manage other AV employees technically and direct freelancers and other outside AV staff on show guidelines.
- Develop, train and mentor AV staff.
- Arrange and manage transfers, re-rents and coordinate equipment needs.
- Ensure sufficient labor needs for show are met and manage proper scheduling.
- Learn to monitor costs on shows to ensure profit goals are reached.
- Learn to coordinate vendors and outside technical support for events.
- Operates equipment in a live show setting.
- Works with sales team to clearly define customer expectations and build own sales skills.
- Communicate directly with clients or assist technicians with ensuring excellent customer service is provided.
- Assist in creating or rearranging sets to enhance clients vision
- Learn and explain invoicing to clients. Obtain signatures and assist with order entry/billing system as needed.
- Execute proper optimal operation and troubleshooting of equipment. Perform preventative maintenance of equipment as needed.
- Follows and acts in accordance with all company rules and policies in regard to general operation of the company, including but not limited to working hours, procedures and specific company rules. <
