As part of the Data Solutions Support team, the Data Management Analyst will drive the adoption of enterprise data governance practices that ensure our data is trusted, well-understood, and compliant. You will partner with business and technology stakeholders to define data standards, establish data ownership and stewardship, manage metadata and lineage, monitor data quality, and support regulatory and risk requirements across Ally’s Auto Asset Management data domain.
The Work Itself
• Partner with Data Product Owners, Data Stewards, and Engineering to implement enterprise data governance frameworks, policies, and standards across Snowflake and other strategic data platforms.
• Define and maintain critical data elements (CDEs), data dictionaries, business glossaries, and metadata in governance tools (e.g., Alation, Collibra), ensuring consistency and traceability from source to consumption.
• Establish and monitor data quality rules, profiling, and scorecards; triage quality issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive remediation with owning teams.
• Implement and maintain end-to-end data lineage (e.g., via Manta, Collibra) to improve transparency, impact analysis, and control effectiveness for rep
