Job Description:
The Assistant Director of Online Student Experience at LSU Online and Continuing Education plays a vital role in ensuring that online students receive a seamless and enriching educational experience, parallel to that of on-campus students. Reporting to the Executive Director of Online Student Experience, this position is responsible for overseeing various aspects of online student journey to ensure students have access to the same resources, support, and quality of experience as on-campus students. This role involves collaborating with various departments, implementing student engagement initiatives, and continuously improving the online student experience through innovative practices and strategic planning.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement programs that foster a sense of community among online students. Ensure online students have access to academic resources, career services, mental health resources, and other services equivalent to those available to on-campus students. Implement student feedback to improve online student services and overall satisfaction. Organize and lead committees focused on enhancing the online student experience. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment of goals and initiatives. Coordinate with the marketing team to promote online student services and resources. Collaborate with IT, academic departments, and student services to ensure online students have access to necessary technological and educational resources. 40%
Assist the Executive Director in developing long-term strategies to enhance the online student experience. Conduct regular assessments of online programs and services to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes. Lead projects aimed at improving the integration and accessibility of online learning tools and resources. Collaborate across departments and campuses Prepare and present reports to the Executive Director and other stakeholders to inform decision-making. Utilize data to track the effectiveness of initiatives and make recommendations for improvements. 30%
Work closely with the Operations and Project Support Manager to ensure seamless operation and process on initiatives such as the Online Transcript Service and work closely to help identify solutions that will remove barriers that students may face when trying to attend online. Identify opportunities and ways to better the process of leaners who transfer or get referred to one campus from another within the LSU System. Collabroate with teams on articulation agreements that will better the process for learners and make a clear pathway to graduation. 20%

Additional Requirements:
Operation Essential Personnel - This position may be asked to work during an official closure, but who is otherwise not required to
report to the physical campus during a closure and whose absence does not present a risk to the safety, resources, and well-being of the
campus per FASOP HR-01.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communication, Management, Education, or a related field with 3+ years of experience
Specific Experience: Experience working in student services areas within higher education.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communication, Management, Education, or a related field with 5+ years of experience
Specific Experience: Experience working in student service areas within higher education. Familiarity with LSU systems and processes.
