Job Description

Vitol BioMethane, LLC (VBM) is looking for a Landfill Gas Wellfield Technician for our Landfill Gas to Energy (LFGTE) project located at the Texoma Area Solid Waste Authority Landfill (TASWA) in Whitesboro, TX.  This is an opportunity to join a growing team and be a part of the energy transition by supporting production of a renewable energy source. 

This full-time position is based on-site, working a standard eight (8) hour shift, Monday through Friday with occasional weekends (as needed). To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.

Position Summary:

  • Perform well field tuning and monitoring of the landfill gas collection and control system (GCCS) for a high BTU landfill gas project.
  • Providing maintenance and repair tasks for the GCCS including pumps, piping, wells
  • Providing maintenance of the GCCS blower/flare, air compressor, analytical equipment, and other equipment
  • Provide upkeep of monitoring equipment and report issues to Site Supervisor
  • Recording and maintaining daily field logs
  • Assisting in various project and construction related tasks as assigned
  • Effectively communicating with and assisting on-site staff, including Supervisors and Management
  • Following all company safety procedures and policies
  • Most of the work will be conducted at the site.  Some travel may be required (approximately 10%) to help on other sites when needed

Qualifications

  • Maintain a current and valid Driver's License
  • 2 or more years of industry experience, with a preference for Landfill Gas Wellfield Technician or Landfill Gas Construction experience
  • Ability to move and lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to use Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Enthusiastic and able to work well with others in a team-oriented environment
