You will report to the Sr. Director, Engineering - ZTW.

 

Responsibilities

• Participate in Design, Development phases, and take ownership of the Test phase for end-end qualification of Zscaler Cloud Connector product within the Zscaler ZT Workloads platform suite.
• Write Test Plan Doc, with detailed test cases for each use case, and implement automation using automated testing frameworks.
• Enhance existing automated test Infrastructure.
• Implement the automation of feature, systems and solution test cases and integrate with the CI/CD pipeline for sanity, regression and solution test runs.
• Good hands-on knowledge in network/security domain concepts on AWS, Azure and GCP cloud public platform.
• Recreate complex customer and production reported issues to determine root cause working closely with feature owners and address any gaps in automation coverage.
• Perform cross cloud testing for different customer topologies, network overlay solutions.
• Perform validation of various core control and dataplane features.
• Collaborate closely with other parts of the ZT team and work with internal cross functional teams to build and enhance product test/quality coverage.
• Experience in the Secure Development Lifecycle and Shift Left by Design methodology.
• Mentor and Guide the team of Software and Associate Software Engineers.
• Peer review of the software code developed by other engineers.
• Come up with ways to increase the automation coverage and decrease the customer found defects in the product.

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

• 8+ years of overall experience, with 2 to 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer Automation, in a networking and security related field.
• Strong hands-on knowledge on cloud native Platforms and virtual hypervisor technologies, with at least 3 to 4 years of prior work experience.
• Excellent programming skills using Python or any other script programming language
• Working knowledge of any Unix system, Strong understanding of Algorithms and Data Structures. Desired to have : C programming experience.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate good debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work with remote teams, handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in the field of CS or EE.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range$122,500—$175,000 USD
