The Outside Maintenance Supervisor directs and supervises Preventive Maintenance, Vehicle Garage, and Outside Maintenance technicians. The supervisor ensures complete and effective predictive, preventive and vehicle maintenance services for the Materion Elmore facility. Capable of independently performing all duties including using complex diagnostic tools and equipment. Implement department programs, policies and practices. Recommend enhancements designed to increase efficiency, effectiveness and quality while reducing cost. The PM supervisor is heavily involved with SAP, Ariba, and other purchasing transactions.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Oversee and manage vibration analysis procedures for data collection and make recommendation for repairs.
- Independently collect and analyze oil analysis data and schedule oil changes.
- Frequently reviews the preventive maintenance module of the CMMS and make changes, deletions and additions utilizing the preventive maintenance request process with Maintenance Planners.
- Specifically monitors compliance with generated Preventive Maintenance Work Orders for the Elmore site. Responsible for maintaining accuracy, timeliness and continual improvement with the CMMS Plant Maintenance Module through SAP and Maintenance Planners.
- Plans, prioritize, assign, supervise and review the work of the department personnel assigned to the Preventive, Predictive, Vehicle Maintenance and Outside Maintenance teams in the support of continuous operation of the Materion Elmore Facility.
- Reviews manuals, Materion schedules, and records of maintenance problems to determine optimum frequencies of preventive maintenance schedules.
- Must exercise sound diagnostic and analytical judgement in identifying, documenting and reporting equipment malfunctions and planning corrective actions.
- Responsible for the daily operations in Predictive Maintenance, Vehicle Garage and Outside Maintenance teams.
- Responsible for overhead hoists, overhead doors, cranes and lifting device operation. Liaison between contractors and Materion for any needed repairs/replacements.
- Create and monitor purchase orders, and invoicing.
- Responsible for providing and maintaining the compressed air supply for the Materion Elmore facility.
- Responsible for proper management of used oils, coolants and lubricants in accordance with Materion Safe Practice Procedure.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical/electrical engineering is preferred.
- Previous Supervisory experience is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the predictive maintenance field in heavy industry is desired.
- Must have a strong mechanical and electrical background.
- Level I or II vibration analyst, certified by either the vibration institute or technical associates is also preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills are a must.
- Ability to work independently and in team is also essential.
The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
