Job Description Summary
Sporting Kansas City is seeking a dynamic and hard-working intern to join our Accounting and Finance department. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to apply financial principles in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include assisting with financial reporting, data entry, and administrative tasks while gaining hands-on experience in the financial operations of a professional sports organization. The successful applicant must be a self-starter, able to think critically, work collaboratively, and go above and beyond to contribute to the team's success on and off the field.All SKC interns must be actively pursuing an undergraduate degree or must have recently achieved their bachelor's degree.

Job Description
Essential Functions
Operational Finance: basic level financial analysis and reporting activities.
General Accounting: account analysis, balance sheet reconciliations and transactional accounting tasks.
Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable: supplier and customer transactional support and accounts analysis.
Income Tax: support and documentation for the company’s income tax return.
Works on special projects and provides research as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Match Day Responsibilities
Act as representatives of Sporting Kansas City at select home matches, engaging with guests and working to create Magic Moments for all fans.

Skills and Experience
Pursuing an undergraduate degree or graduate degree in Finance, Accounting or other related field required. Must provide proof to receive credit through the internship toward the completion of a degree.
Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Calendar.
Organizing work effectively, conceptualizing and prioritizing objectives and exercising independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities.
