Sedgebrook is recruiting for a hospitality-focused Dining Room Server to join our culinary team! This role provides full-scope, hands on serving functions within the community.   Full-time employees are eligible for the following benefits:

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Dining Room Server:
  • Takes orders, provides service and requested items both graciously and courteously. Answer pertinent questions about menu items.
  • Set tables and maintain workstations in proper order.
  • Always exemplify Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
  • Responsible for adhering to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards always. 
  • Exhibit dining room appearance and presentation standards always. 
  • Serve customers using proper serving etiquette and promote an inviting dining atmosphere. 
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively, including interpreting and explaining the menu, answer or refer questions, coordinate meal service process, and understand and fulfill requests.
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for 100% of work day; able to bend, stoop, reach, and balance throughout day.
  • Ability to carry up to 20 lbs and push or pull carts weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Experience waiting tables in a restaurant, club, fine dining, or hotel preferred.
  • Experience in working with seniors a plus.
