The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks, from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Genoa, Italy. We are looking for a technician with experience (at least 10 years post-graduation) in designing Automation software systems, for all phases of the life cycle, and in managing and coordinating teams.</p><p></p><p><b><u><span>About Us</span></u></b></p><p><b><span>A career at Hitachi Rail will help create a legacy. And that’s where you come in.</span></b></p><p></p><p><b><u>Accountabilities </u></b></p><ul><li>Analysis and definition of software systems architectures</li><li>Selection of the most appropriate technologies for the context</li><li>Planning of activities</li><li>Design and implementation of software components</li><li>Managing the testing and deployment of software components</li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>Required Skills/ Knowledge</u></b></p><ul><li>Knowledge of software design methodologies (agile methodologies, DevOps, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Object Oriented Analysis)</li><li>In-depth knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Docker swarm)</li><li>Knowledge of technologies for building cloud-native systems</li><li>Knowledge of Javascript, NodeJS, HTML/XML, HTML5, JSON, Java languages</li><li>Knowledge of graphical Javascript tools (Angular-9, AngularJs, Bootstrap)</li><li>Knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, PostreSQL, MariaDB) and no-sql (MongoDB, Redis)</li><li>Knowledge of Version Control systems (git, svn)</li><li>Thorough knowledge of Linux operating system (RedHat, Ubuntu)</li><li>Ability to estimate and plan software development activities</li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>Desired Skills/ Knowledge</u></b></p><ul><li>Experience in the implementation of applications in rail and metro automation</li></ul><p></p><p><b><u><span>Education/Qualifications</span></u></b></p><ul><li>Master's degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent degree</li></ul><p></p><p><u>Languages</u></p><p>Proficiency in English</p><p></p><p><b>Thank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
