The Additive Design and Manufacturing (ADaM) team is looking for energetic and highly motivated candidates to join our new facility in Monroe, NC to help establish the foundations for successful growth and expansion of the facility.  This brand-new facility is Collins Aerospace’s first dedicated metal additive manufacturing (AM) center focused on supporting production-level AM hardware to all business units within RTX.  As a part of this team, you will have the opportunity to implement new systems and help build core strategies and best practices to ensure the growth and success of additive manufacturing within Collins Aerospace. 

As a Senior Analyst, Materials Planning & SIOP on our ADaM team based in Monroe, NC, you will be responsible for the timely performance of various Production Control tasks ranging from requirements planning and master data setup through the manufacturing and shipment of deliverables.  Applicants must exhibit a high degree of initiative and sound judgment, working independently and as a member of a small, dedicated team of AM professionals. It is essential the individual be capable of adapting to changing conditions and work cooperatively in a team environment.  This position will also directly support CORE and other continuous improvement efforts.

What You Will Do

  • Create, maintain, and update the Master Production Schedule (MPS) for Operations and assigned projects; Serving as a key point of contact for the Integrated Project Team, ensuring customer commitments are met.

  • Lead efforts in developing and executing strategies for Materials Planning, Scheduling, and SIOP processes; develop standardized processes within Materials Planning, Scheduling and SIOP to optimize the utilization of business resources and meet customer expectations for delivery.

  • Data Integrity Management in SAP, Solumina, Teamcenter and other systems as needed.

  • Understand and interpret ERP/MRP system requirements and maintain master data; release work orders and track material though the factory processes; issue work orders for projects, execute returns to suppliers, prepare shipments to customers, etc.

  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team and lead the development of monthly production volume planning using the business forecast, inventory position, actual customer orders, and the defined capacity parameters.

  • Prepare and communicate weekly work schedule to production team, via daily morning production meetings.

  • Coordinate interdependent production activities with supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and engineering.

  • Communicate with suppliers to request quotations (RFQs) and collaborate with the supporting buyer to place purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate procurement of necessary materials and services.

  • Coordinate the utilization of outside processes and the shipment of hardware to customers; monitor transportation and delivery of inbound materials and outbound finished products; perform escalated expediting when required to ensure on time delivery of material or hardware.

  • Conducts cycle-counts for raw materials, finished goods & WIPs.

  • Communicate and drive resolution of supply concerns with demand planning, VSL, contracts, supply chain, operations, and other cross-functional stakeholders as needed.

  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with the execution of production plans

  • Conduct root cause analysis when goals
