Overview:

In this position you will be responsible for building the central data ecosystem at SimpliSafe. The ideal candidate can create and scale processes to enable speed and increase visibility to operational data. You are motivated to deliver exceptional end user experiences and generate organizational value through streamlined data and reporting solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Architect a data ecosystem to enable reporting across disparate applications including Customer Experience, Ecommerce, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain Fulfillment and Technology.
• Analyze the impact of reporting and continually propose updates to provide transparency that inspires action.
• Participate in developing and implementing an overall organizational data strategy.
• Interface with Customer Experience, Ecommerce, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain Fulfillment and Technology teams to reduce duplicative processes and streamline data processing.
• Design and build data quality testing processes and monitoring of processes to ensure timely access to quality data for business partners and end users.
• Educate stakeholders to expand their creativity in requesting reports and ensure reporting capabilities are considered during new application implementations.
• Develop data standards and best practices.
• Classify data sources based on how they are best suited to answer business questions.

Qualifications:

• BSc/BA or a compatible certificate in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Sciences, Math or any other field that includes math and programming.
• Prior experience designing analytics for critical business functions.
• Proven track record of integrating data sources into systems landscape and providing working solutions for end users.
• Ability to articulate the value of centrally managed master data.
• Adept at working with multiple stakeholders while maintaining process and structure.
• Ability to lead multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Understand ETL architecture and data warehouse / data lake principles.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to create cooperation among stakeholders of diverse professional personal backgrounds and skill levels.
• Team player who cares about the success of others.
• Experience with agile methodologies.
• Hand-on experience with Tableau or a similar BI tool.
• Strong expertise in SQL.
• Proficient in Python.
• Ability to dive into complex Python and SQL code.
• Experience with engineering development lifecycle, best practices and standards.
