The Sr. Coordinator HR Operations is responsible for managing and optimizing our HR processes, policies, systems, and programs. Your expertise will be crucial in providing guidance, support, and exceptional customer service on various HR matters as the primary point of contact for employees and managers. This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of HR practices.
This position is part of the HR Operations and will be located in Sunnyvale, CA. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
· Serve as the primary HR contact for employees, managers, business partners, and the HR community. Offer expert advice and support on tier 1 HR inquiries via our case management system. Utilize pre-defined responses to address general questions, ensuring consistent and streamlined communication. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance HR operations and contribute to the HR organization's success.
· Maintain data integrity by accurately and promptly entering information into Workday and the case management system. Ensure HR data accuracy and reliability. Participate in daily virtual management meetings, tracking and reporting relevant case management metrics for continuous improvement
· Facilitate a seamless onboarding experience by actively participating in New Hire Orientation (NHO), responding to questions in the chat, and assisting new employees. Once fully trained, take on the role of delivering NHO sessions. Ensure timely and accurate completion of I-9 documentation by following up with employees, managers, and business partners, providing necessary guidance and support throughout the process.
The essential requirements of the job include:
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees, managers, and stakeholders, demonstrating empathy, active listening, and clear articulation.
· Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately, adhering to privacy regulations and fostering trust within the organization.
· An Associated Degree in Human Resources (or equivalent experience) with 2-4 years of relevant work experience.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
· Strong proficiency in Workday and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Previous experience in a similar HR coordinator or HR administration role is typically required, with a focus on providing support and handling HR inquiries.
· Understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive employee information in line with HR policies and legal requirements

The salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $70,000 -$76,960. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
