Senior Storyboard Artist

<p>Giant are seeking a Senior Storyboard Artist for an exciting new CG production.</p><p><strong><br/>Position Overview</strong></p><p>This is a full-time position based in the Dublin studio, and there is flexibility for remote working but applicants should be able to work in the Irish timezone as the studio. </p><p>We will endeavour to respond to all applicants, but due to the high volume of applications we receive a reply might not always be possible.</p><p>This short-term contract will have an initial duration for a period of 1.5 months until February 2024 and you must be available to start in December 2023.</p><p><strong>Starting date:</strong> ASAP<br/></p><p></p><p><strong>Position Responsibilities</strong></p><p></p><ul> <li>Collaborate with Series Director to develop expressive, entertaining storyboards, following the cinematic style and storytelling rules of the project.</li> <li>Work closely with Creative Supervisor(s) to discuss and plan storyboards to make sure the key themes and objectives of the project are achieved.</li> <li>Follow briefs and work assignments provided by supervisor(s).</li> <li>Ensure quality, direction and style of show is consistently achieved and strived for throughout production.</li> <li>Work with Editor to ensure storyboard panels are delivered correctly.</li> <li>Attend pitch meetings, reviews and launches as required.</li> <li>Implement internal and external client notes as required.</li> <li>Meet all deadlines and milestones as set out by Production team.</li> <li>Communicate progress of work to supervisor(s) and production team.</li> <li>Be proactive in flagging any potential issues or delays to supervisor(s) and production team.</li> <li>Follow Storyboard workflows and file management systems according to production guidelines.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>2+ years of experience in animated projects, preferably with CG TV series.</li> <li>Ability to express character emotion and attitude through drawings.</li> <li>Great understanding of cinematography, staging and storytelling.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of anatomy, perspective, and composition.</li> <li>Ability to brainstorm inventive ideas to plus story material.</li> <li>Willingness to rework material multiple times while keeping a fresh eye.</li> <li>Ability to work collaboratively with multiple tasks in a fast-paced production.</li> <li>Ability to quickly and effectively illustrate in any style required.</li> <li>Proven and Effective communication skills both written and verbal.</li> <li>Manage timelines ensuring work is delivered on schedule.</li> <li>Expert level of Adobe Photoshop and StoryboardPro skills.</li> <li>Experience with Flix and Shotgrid a plus.</li> </ul>
