The Premium Listings mobile team builds innovative and delightful solutions for the advanced shopping experiences for our home shoppers and real estate agents. The solutions are facets of Zillow’s iPhone, iPad, and Android, the #1 real estate applications in their stores. About the role

As a senior engineering manager in the RMX team, you will oversee the end-to-end software feature lifecycle and contribute code alongside the team's developers. Your team will ship updates weekly and keep a laser focus on using the unique capabilities of mobile devices. You will have accountability for the efficiency and effectiveness of the team and positioning them to thrive. You will be encouraged to think creatively and challenge established expectations by building on what we already have and developing new insights that fuel innovation and creativity! 

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $197,100.00 - $314,900.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

You're passionate about great user-facing applications and deeply about a great end-user experience. You have a few years of engineering experience in the mobile space. You have a proven leader to deliver high-quality results with engineering excellence through the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS ROLE INCLUDE:

• Managing a team of 5-8 software developers

• Collaborating with product managers, UX designers, test leads, and multi-functional teams

• Growing the team through mentorship and hiring

• Leading the team through code, architecture, and process changes across iOS and Android codebases

• Being accountable for delivering high-quality product services and values through the team 

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of mobile software development experience as an individual contributor or team lead

• 2+ years in a management or tech leadership role

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with a preference for Computer Science degree

• Experience partnering with product managers and cross-functional stakeholders

• Experience driving the technical strategy of the team

• Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies

• Demonstrated experience mentoring and growing high-performing engineering teams
