This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or other relevant field.
- Minimum of 4+ years' experience in pressurized component or system level testing, including test planning, execution, and data review.
- Advanced test engineering expertise with pneumatic, hydraulic, cryogenic, and/or similar systems.
- Strong knowledge of fluid components such as valves, regulators, actuators, servo-valves, flexible elements, and fittings.
- Experience with sensors and instrumentation (pressure transducers, accelerometers, etc.), and data acquisition.
- Experience with data acquisition and automated systems.
- A dedication to safety, including experience working with hazardous pressurized or other relevant systems.
- Strong people skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality in an aerospace or other relevant industry.
- Ability to deliver results with minimal oversight.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to test sites across the country.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7+ years of applicable industry experience (launch vehicles, satellites, aircraft, oil & gas).
- Expert with data capture, analysis, processing, and reduction techniques.
- Demonstrated technical expertise in design, operation, testing, or production of pressurized (up to 6000 psi), cryogenic, pneumatic, high voltage (800VDC) electromechanical, and/or hydraulic systems.
- Experience working with environmental, structural, and dynamic testing suppliers.
- Expert with sensors and instrumentation (pressure transducers, accelerometers, etc.), and data acquisition.
- Experience safely automating setups for long duration testing or to increase production throughput.
- Experience taking components or systems through aerospace qualification programs.
- Familiarity with precision clean hardware and systems.
- Experience with Environmental Testing (proof, leak, vibration, thermal, etc.) per SMC-S-016, MIL-STD-1540 or MIL-STD-810.
Compensation Range for:
WA applicants is $117,498.00-$164,497.20Other site ranges may differ
