Per Diem Senior Research Coordinator

Job Description:

Job Requirements:

1) Receives minimal supervision.  Investigator or supervisor available to handle exceptional situations.

2) Manages and coordinates complex studies in accordance with established protocols or guidelines.  Conducts study tasks which are complex in accordance with established protocols or guidelines.  Educates patient regarding his/her rights as a research subject and provides teaching specific to protocol.  Contributes significantly/ Largely responsible for protocol evaluation & implementation planning.

4) Ability to take project from conception, through strategy and implementation stage.  Performs actual study tasks as needed.  Collaborates with investigators in project evaluation, planning, protocol implementation.

5) Develops, maintains, utilizes and updates data collection tools, spreadsheets, and databases for use in gathering and compilation of information specific to each research process.  Prepare reports and analyses, setting forth progress, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.

6) Largely responsible for coordinating and supervising conduct of research study, may include the work of other staff.  May train and assign work to qualified personnel.

Minimally Required Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Science or Administration

Preferred Education:

Master's Degree or PhD Highly desirable

Minimally Required Experience:

Knowledge and skills necessary for this level are typically attained through 8-10 years of research experience.  May hold degree in research.

Skills/Competencies:

Expert knowledge of Federal and State regulations as they relate to research.  Holds specialty certification in clinical research through an approved accrediting organization or college/graduate program.
