Community Living Senior Manager

The Community Living Senior Manager is responsible for the overall coordination, oversight, and operational effectiveness of assigned Individualized Residential Alternatives (IRAs). This role ensures the health, safety, and well-being of all individuals supported, with a strong focus on person-centered planning, active treatment, and regulatory compliance. The Senior Manager plans end coordinates effective delivery of staffing and care routines, maintains facilities according to agency and OMH/OPWDD standards.

Responsible include evaluating work performance, training needed, managing regular staff meetings, payroll, incident reporting in alignment with regulatory bodies, and purchasing items needed for the houses while maintaining the house budget. The role includes operational leadership, staff development, and on-call responsibilities.

Essential Functions (Job Duties):

1. Provide oversight and support to assigned IRAs, ensuring high-quality care and services aligned with agency values and OPWDD/OMH standards.
2. Support to Community Living Managers to ensure effective daily operations, regulatory compliance, and high-quality care within residential programs.
3. Monitor the progress of individuals receiving services, ensuring appropriate documentation, follow-up, and person- centered outcomes.
4. Facilitate effective communication between Community Living Managers, Associate Directors, and interdisciplinary team members to promote consistency, accountability, and alignment with program goals.
5. Ensure the physical environment of each home is well-maintained and meets safety, cleanliness, and regulatory standards.
6. Provide regular feedback, training, and performance evaluations to Community Living Managers and frontline staff. Identify professional development needs and coordinate relevant training to enhance team effectiveness.
7. Offer targeted support and hands-on coaching to Community Living Managers to address performance challenges, strengthen leadership skills, and ensure alignment with program expectations and regulatory standards.
8. Provide direct operational support to IRAs with complex needs, collaborating with program leadership to stabilize services, reinforce compliance, and ensure safe, person-centered environments.
9. Serve as acting manager during vacancies, leaves, or absences to maintain stability and continuity in operations.
10. Satisfactorily complete an approved New York State Medication Administration course.
11. Must be van certified to transport participants as per Citizen Advocates van certification process.
12. Satisfactorily complete mandated training requirements and updates as directed by supervisor(s).
13. Attend, participate and conduct necessary meetings as requested by supervisor(s).
14. Conducted comprehensive onboarding training for newly hired Community Living Managers, ensuring they were equipped with the knowledge and tools to meet organizational standards. Provided ongoing follow-up training and support as needed to reinforce best practices, address skill gaps, and promote continuous professional growth.
15. Performed regular internal audits to ensure compliance with Designated Quality Indicator (DQI) standards and

organizational policies. Assessed program operations, documentation, and service delivery to identify areas for improvement and maintain regulatory readiness. Collaborated with teams to implement corrective actions and enhance overall quality of care.
