Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist- RCM Medical Billing Experience

Responsibilities
Conduct root cause analysis of revenue cycle issues and implement process improvements to optimize collections and reduce denials
Analyze denial patterns and trends across client portfolios to develop preventive strategies and enhance revenue capture
Manage complex accounts receivable workflows, prioritizing high-dollar and aged claims to maintain target collection goals
Execute strategic follow-up campaigns on aged receivables, including appeals and escalation processes for delayed or denied claims
Serve as a subject matter expert on payer requirements and regulatory updates, providing guidance to team members on complex billing scenarios
Drive process standardization and best practices across client accounts while ensuring compliance with federal and state billing regulations
Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or GED
At least 3 years of medical billing experience
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including vlookups, pivot tables, and spreadsheet management
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to meet productivity metrics
Experience with or willingness to learn automation tools and AI-powered revenue cycle management systems
Preferred
Knowledge of medical billing specifically in behavioral, homecare, or long-term care insurance.
Collections experience in a healthcare setting
Working knowledge of medical billing systems such as Medic, IDX, Avatar, Tier, Medical Manager
Expectations
Comfortable with remote work arrangements and virtual collaboration tools
Physical demands include extended periods of sitting, computer use, and telephone communication
