The team is responsible for shielding the company’s systems from security risks, while designing technology strategies that enable AIG’s businesses to achieve their goals. AIG’s Information Technology functions include application development and management, enterprise architecture, and technology risk and compliance.
What you need to know:
The Chief Information Officer for North America Commercial and Global Claims leads a team accountable for technology and digital strategies, program and project delivery, application portfolio management, technology standards, security and innovation for AIG’s NA’s Commercial business and Global Claims function. In this role, you will partner closely with AIG’s NA Insurance CEO, NA Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Claims officer and be responsible for building business cases for technology investment, shaping and delivering IT projects and programs, and assessing the priority of IT activity in line with business needs. You will also have budgetary responsibility and ownership for IT spend for this domain.

This role plays a pivotal role in ensuring that IT is seen as an effective partner and enabler by connecting the business to the relevant parts of the wider IT organization. You will have management responsibilities for teams of technology resources who will interact with key business leads on strategic programs. The candidate must have strong leadership and influencing skills and be a strategic thinker.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the strategic and organizational vision, strategy, and value proposition for our North America technology business service delivery team
- Responsible for the full regional technology leadership and management, operations, performance metrics and financial performance
- Partner with the NA Insurance CEO, NA COO, Chief Claims Officer and other business leaders in the effective delivery of key business objectives. Serve as the main point of contact for all technology initiatives and communications for North America commercial business.
- Drive and oversee the technology strategy, roadmap, and application portfolio for North America Commercial and Global Claims businesses
- Lead the North America business line technology heads aligned to Casualty, Financial Lines, Lexington, US Programs, Canada, Bermuda, Multinational, Cat Modeling and Global Claims and respective team of ~500 employees and contractors.
- Take accountability for successful delivery of current and future projects to deliver enhancements and new IT capabilities to the business, implement new products and refresh legacy technology.
- Understand and make the most relevant and appropriate technology recommendations based on optimizing costs of ownership for the IT estate
- Leverage the strategic relationships you will build across the organization to gather and shape business requirements and provide recommendations on solution delivery. Promote line of business knowledge and understanding, working with the business and your team to clarify and refine these.
- Manage an effective relationship with strategic development partners and third party vendors to ensure successful delivery and efficient cost management. Own Third Party Vendor Management liaison and issue resolution where applicable.
