QuadScore Risk Services (QRS), a division of BlueSkyRisk, helps cannabis companies operate safely and efficiently by providing comprehensive risk control solutions and industry leading risk insights.  The ideal candidate for this role has an interest in working with individuals throughout the cannabis insurance industry, including underwriters, marketing, brokers, insureds, engineers, and claims professionals, to delivery risk reduction and portfolio protection, resource management, and thoughtful leadership.  This role is ideally supported by someone with a working knowledge of property and casualty coverages along with a strong interest in thoroughly understanding the cannabis industry.

 

SUMMARY:

This position will be responsible for underwriting administrative needs to help drive growth and maintain service level agreements.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Assist in upkeeping and maintaining service level agreements
  • Participate in the renewal and new business activities that support marketing and underwriting decisions that are consistent with growth and retention goals
  • Assisting with policy creation and review
  • Process quotes, binders, non-premium bearing endorsements, policy changes, and account renewals
  • Process and issue cancellation/reinstatement notices and endorsements
  • Scheduling inspections and monitoring for compliance with recommendations
  • Manage account documentation
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work 40 hours per week
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Critical thinking & problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize effectively
  • Highly organized

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 

  • College Diploma

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION:

  • The individual must obtain their insurance license within 3 months of starting.

The base salary range for this position is $77,000 to $91,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
