About the Opportunity
The Senior Vice President (SVP), Head of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), leads the national ERP function for the Federal Reserve encompassing Human Resources, Finance, and Procurement domains. This executive is responsible for shaping and delivering the ERP strategy, optimizing enterprise business processes, ensuring operational excellence, and driving innovation through technology. An influential leader, relationship builder, and agent of change, the SVP ERP, with support and oversight from the ERP sponsors (First Vice Presidents), will be responsible for leading the Support Office and collaboratively driving optimal service delivery and an integrated product roadmap across the finance, human resources, and procurement business lines, and working directly with Chief Product Owners (CPOs). The SVP, Head of ERP Executive will report to the Chief Information Officer.
Background
The Federal Reserve System has transitioned its human resources, finance and procurement technology systems to one integrated cloud-based platform using the Workday, SAP Ariba, and 20+ ERP product solutions. Now that the ERP is implemented, we need to continue to be agile, embrace change and be willing to do things differently to drive adoption of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program’s full capabilities and features throughout the Federal Reserve, staying abreast of new capabilities, and sustain leading practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
Define and execute a multi-year ERP strategy aligned with organizational goals, including legacy ERP system modernization, operational efficiency, platform resilience, and user experience.
Ensure ERP capabilities support both enterprise and functional needs, maintaining balance between standardization and flexibility.
ERP Program and Operations Oversight
Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of ERP platforms (e.g., Workday, Ariba) for core HR, Finance, and Procurement business functions.
Oversee large-scale ERP programs and projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and meet quality expectations (e.g. ERP Data Hub).
Establish a high-performing, product-centric ERP operating model that supports agile delivery, innovation, and user-focused solutions.
Stakeholder Engagement and Governance
Lead and manage a senior executive steering committee, ensuring alignment between ERP investments and business value realization.
Foster trusted relationships with senior business leaders to align priorities and ensure successful adoption.
Create and maintain governance structures that promote accountability, transparency, and change management.
Team and Talent Leadership
Build, inspire, and retain a high-caliber ERP team, including Chief product owners, Chief Architect, and technical delivery managers.
Promote a culture of continuous learning, innovation, cross-functional collaboration, and inclusive leadership.
Support the development of ERP capabilities within the FR through knowledge sharing and collaboration frameworks.
Risk, Compliance, and Vendor Management
Ensure ERP operations comply with regulatory, security, and data privacy standards.
Oversee vendor and partner relationships, including contract management, performance oversight, and value assurance.
