Job Summary:

Manages planning and administration of budgeting operations.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages daily budget and planning activities. Provides support to management in the use and interpretation of financial information.
• Coordinates preparation of capital and operating budgets and long-range financial plans.
• Ensures budget preparation software is updated and ready for use. Conducts new user and refresher training.
• Oversees preparation of financial reports for management. Serves as a resource to management for the capital and operating budgeting process.
• Assists management with monthly monitoring of actual versus budgeted activity.  Determines operational reasons for and action plans to correct budget variances.
• Oversees preparation of financial reports for management. Serves as a resource to management for the capital and operating budgeting process.
• Responsible for management functions including activities related to staffing such as recruitment, hiring, performance evaluation, and compensation determination.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree

EXPERIENCE

• Five years’ experience and demonstrated progressive leadership responsibility.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
• Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
• Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
• Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
• Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
• Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
• Rare climbing.
