Senior Accounting Manager, H&S

Pay Details:

The annual base salary range for this position in California is $180,000 to $210,000 per year. The starting pay for the successful candidate depends on various job-related factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education/training, internal value, peer equity, external market demands, and organizational considerations.

The Senior Accounting Manager plays a key role in preparing and managing all accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of unified financial statements across the organization’s multiple entities. This role prepares and issues quarterly and annually internal audited financial statements to various banking facilities.  The Senior Accounting Manager conducts intercompany reconciliations, resolves discrepancies, and manages quarter-end and year-end closing procedures. The Senior Accounting Manager also supports tax preparation by organizing and submitting financial data and provides analyses to aid strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare consolidated financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and reflecting the company’s overall financial position

  • Conduct intercompany reconciliation to ensure accuracy and consistency in transactions between entities within the organization

  • Assist in gathering and organizing data for tax preparation, ensuring timely submission of quarterly and annual financial statements to meet banking requirements

  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in intercompany transactions to maintain accurate consolidated reports

  • Execute quarter-end and year-end closing procedures, including account reconciliations and journal entries, adhering to accounting standards and deadlines

  • Prepare quarterly and annual internal audited financial reports for various banking facilities

  • Ensure adherence to evolving accounting standards, and industry-specific regulatory changes, implementing necessary adjustments to maintain compliance

  • Perform general ledger activities, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions

  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial records regularly to ensure accuracy and completeness

  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required

  • A minimum of 15+ years of progressive accounting experience

  • Experience using accounting software (D365)

  • Comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards

  • In-depth knowledge of financial consolidation processes, intercompany reconciliation, and the preparation of consolidated financial statements

  • Familiarity with tax preparation processes for quarterly and annual filings

  • Strong understanding of month/quarter-end and year-end closing procedures, including account reconciliations and journal entries

  • Proficiency in financial systems and accounting software (D365) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and able to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear and professional interaction with internal teams and external stakeholders
