About the role

<p>This role requires strategic leadership in the development and execution of GSOC operations worldwide. The successful candidate will define and implement global standards, protocols, and best practices for physical security monitoring and emergency response. Responsibilities include providing leadership, mentoring, and performance management for GSOC personnel, ensuring continuous global monitoring of physical security risks, geopolitical threats, and business-impacting incidents, including those affecting business travelers. This includes directing incident coordination and escalation, guaranteeing timely response, communication, and resolution. The position also encompasses developing and maintaining GSOC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), playbooks, and the business continuity plan, as well as managing the GSOC budget and vendor relationships, including purchase order creation and invoice processing.</p><p>This position oversees GSOC technology platforms, including surveillance systems, access control, mass notification, travel risk management, and incident management systems. Collaboration with IT and vendors is crucial for evaluating and implementing new tools to enhance GSOC capabilities and automation. The role involves supervising the collection, analysis, and distribution of threat intelligence to inform executive decision-making, delivering regular security briefings and risk assessments to key stakeholders, and maintaining performance metrics and dashboards. Significant cross-functional collaboration is required, serving as a key liaison between the GSOC and other Risk &amp; Resilience team members, Security &amp; Physical Security (S&amp;PS), Legal, Compliance &amp; Security (LC&amp;S), Human Resources, and Real Estate. The successful candidate will collaborate with crisis management and business continuity leaders during major incidents or global events and frequently leads a portfolio of company-wide security, privacy, and compliance projects with significant risk and complexity.</p> <p>• Anticipates internal and external business challenges and / or regulatory issues and drives Nokia-wide strategic improvement initiatives that mitigate significant risks or create competitive advantage. <br/><br/>• Drives group wide strategic decision-making and awareness through group policies, strategic decision proposals, executive reporting and briefings and group wide campaigns. <br/><br/>• Combines profound professional expertise with a holistic sense of the business and commercial environment. <br/><br/>• Aligns own area execution plan to Nokia’s strategy, risk appetite and financial frame. <br/><br/>• Recognized thought leader ready to represent Nokia’s strategy, vision and capabilities-related to own responsibility area both internally and externally. <br/><br/>• Solves highly complex problems and develops original and innovative solutions with strategic impact on the business. <br/><br/>• Often leads a portfolio of company wide security, privacy and compliance projects with significant risk and complexity. <br/> </p> <p>You have :</p><ul><li>8–10+ years of experience in corporate security, global operations centers, military, or intelligence roles, including strong understanding of physical security technologies, global threat intelligence, and incident response.</li><li>Proven leadership experience managing 24/7 operations and distributed security teams.</li><li>Excellent communication, crisis decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.</li></ul><p>It would be nice if you also had:</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, International Affairs, Emergency Management, or related field.</li><li>Industry certifications such as CPP, PSP, CEM, or CISSP.</li><li>Experience in multinational or high-risk operating environments.</li><li>Familiarity with compliance and regulatory standards relevant to physical and operational security.</li></ul><p> </p><p>Please note that this role also requires:</p><ul><li>After-hours availability during high-severity incidents.</li><li>Occasional international travel to oversee disparate GSOC locations or participate in crisis event exercises or training.</li><li>High-security awareness environment requires confidentiality and discretion</li></ul> <p></p> <p><b><span>Come create the technology that helps the world act together<br> </br></span></b><span><br> Nokia is committed to innovation and technology leadership across mobile, fixed and cloud networks.
