Blackstone Asset Based Finance – Asset Operations Associate

Job Description:

The Asset Operations team oversees all operational aspects of the private client mandates (revolver / delayed draw, term loans, ABS, CMBS, privately-originated loan) from trade input, settlements of the on-going asset servicing.

Responsibilities:

• Maintenance of client business relationships .
• Provide allocations to clients on all securities to ensure proper funding and settlement.
• Book, capture, and reconcile trades.
• Interact with clients and agents on position updates or trade-related issues.
• Perform daily cash and position reconciliations.
• Research and resolve transaction breaks between internal system and custodians.
• Monitor private deal pipeline, to ensure client liquidity, operational readiness, and timely fundings.
• Ad hoc reporting.

Qualifications:

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills, the successful candidate should meet the following qualifications:

• Working knowledge of security operations with loans, fixed income products, and the trade life cycle.
• Works well in a fast-paced environment; prior experience sitting with traders is a plus.
• Must be proficient in Excel.
• Works with technology team on system enhancements.
• Advent Geneva, Bloomberg knowledge is a plus.
• Undergraduate degree.
• 2+ years of experience in trade support or middle office role.

Expected annual base salary range:

$105,000 - $150,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
