Phylax Systems is a tech startup building an open-source security protocol for securing decentralized applications (DApps) on L2 networks by actively censoring hacks on the underlying network.

Our team solves one of the most challenging problems in Web3: Security. Given that a hack inspired the idea of Phylax, we take hack prevention personally and consider it necessary for mass adoption. Over $10Bn was lost to preventable hacks, 2022 was the biggest year with $3.7Bn lost, and July 2023, with 33 hacks, was the month with the most hacks, more than 1 per day.

About the Role

We're searching for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team at Phylax to build a cloud infrastructure to deploy Phylax Nodes. As our first DevOps hire, you will establish the foundation of our container orchestration, deployment processes, and security protocols.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the implementation of container orchestration infrastructure using Kubernetes or Nomad.

• Develop and set up infrastructure, focusing on scalability and reliability.

• Monitor system performance, proactively identify issues, and ensure overall health and security.

• Stay updated with the latest DevOps and security trends, applying them continually to improve our processes.

• Create comprehensive documentation of our DevOps processes and infrastructure architecture.

• Create and maintain technical documentation for internal and external use.

About you

• Strong background and proven experience in DevOps.

• Demonstrated experience in setting up and managing containerized environments.

• Bare metal experience.

• Deep knowledge and practical experience in DevSecOps.

• Proficient in CI/CD.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Experience with Fault Tolerance and High Availability systems.

• Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to lead projects and work in a fast-paced setting.

• Experience in Web3, particularly with Ethereum.

• Experience deploying Blockchain Nodes (e.g., Ethereum Nodes, Rollups, etc.)
