Description

The Data Infrastructure organization provides foundational software to enable Verily’s products to acquire, harmonize, integrate, and analyze data. We enable faster iteration by providing robust, industrial-strength primitives for executing data pipelines, monitoring data feeds for abnormalities, and developing ML models. We work with a variety of internal stakeholders, and our passion is to elevate their technical capabilities so that the right thing is also the easy thing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow a team of 6-12 software engineers as their manager.
• Coordinate your team’s deliveries with the business needs of internal stakeholders.
• Drive the timely delivery of a migration from a legacy internal stack onto Google Cloud Platform while maintaining continuous support for internal users.
• Communicate efficiently, react creatively, and escalate effectively when barriers or delays arise.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or 5 years relevant work experience in the field of software development.
• 2 years experience as a manager of software developers.
• 2 years experience developing software on public cloud platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience leading infrastructure/platform engineering projects.
• Strengths in managing projects under tight delivery deadlines.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Empathetic, growth-oriented leadership.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000 - $276,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
