Demand Planning Analyst
Job Description
A role in Petco Inventory Management means applying your specialized and well-informed point of view to what we buy, from whom, how much, and where it needs to go from there. You’ll use the right combination of data and expertise to achieve the best possible product availability through proper omnichannel inventory positioning. You’ll establish and develop great relationships with our vendors to encourage on-time shipment and delivery to our Pet Care Centers (stores) and ultimately, our guests and their pets. It’s your skills that help bring our guests what they want, when they want it, whether guests shop our stores or online. We’ll be supporting you with extensive training to help you grow as a strong Demand Planning Analyst. Your development will be cultivated through an array of resources and opportunities for professional growth.
Responsibilities
Manage business performance and drive omnichannel operational and service goals by analyzing inventory in-stocks, productivity, budget, turn-over, and tuning RELEX forecast accuracy.
Develop recommendations, communicate, and execute action plans as necessary to mitigate business risk.
Develop new SKU-Store level forecasts in RELEX and review exceptions in a timely manner.
Ensure incremental pricing, promotion, and seasonal forecasts and inventory plans are built and executed.
Cultivate strategic Vendor partnerships and drive integrated supply chain performance through joint planning and forecasting activities and solving for performance opportunities and risks.
Actively participate and meet all deadlines in cross-functional SKU, Category, and Seasonal Transition process, including developing new SKU level inventory strategy and ensuring strong in-stock performance at time of reset
Regularly review inventory settings, including service level, order cycles, and lead times, to maximize inventory performance.
Monitor receipts and collaborate with Vendor and Supply Chain partners to resolve Purchase Order issues to ensure product is delivered on time.
