Reconciliation teams.  This position will be responsible for certain complex reconciliations that require excellent excel and analytical skills.  The Analyst II will also assist with reviewing and approving reconciliations and provide training and guidance to the AP and Recon teams on reconciliation best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform account reconciliations as assigned by the Director.  This could include complex reconciliations that require certain excel and analytical skills to complete, new bank accounts, acquired bank accounts, and various other suspense accounts like intercompany or credit card clearing.
  • Review and approve reconciliations in Trecs and Certification.  Prepare and approve journal entries.
  • Research daily issues, identify out of balance items, and communicate with internal customers.  Research will include working in financial systems to pull information and reports as needed. Analyst II will need to be proficient in SAP.
  • Maintain proper internal controls around the reconciliation process, policies, and procedures.  Provide guidance to Recon teams regarding quality reconciliations.
  • Continually look for and implement business process improvement opportunities.
  • Other related job duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years Accounting Experience
  • Experience with complex account reconciliation
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to acquire new skills and adapt quickly
  • Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision and work effectively under tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated and take responsibility for ongoing professional development
  • SAP and Trecs experience desirable

Protective’s targeted salary range for this position is $59,500 to $75,000. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protective’s total compensation package for employees.This position also offers additional incentive opportunities [through an annual incentive based on individual and Company performance] OR [through cash compensation as part of a sales incentive plan (SIP).
